How’s the New Place?

You tell me.

I spent ten months in the desert. Now, this is my eight block evening walk.

Further Misadventures…

We are continuing to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. On Father’s Day we took 1SG to Mt. Rainier. As you can see, the scenery was gorgeous. The company was crabby. As a result, I am on hiatus from attempting to plan any kind of recreation or entertainment. So. Tired. Who wants to play scrabble and walk on the beach?

Procrastinating (again!)

I have this terrible habit (that I am now working in earnest to break) of being overwhelmed with boredom.  I am sitting right now at my computer having three blogs I should be writing in (Hey!  1 down…), surrounded by all numbers and types of craft supplies and in need of  a job.  Instead of working on any of these things or with any of these on an ongoing basis, I am taking ample naps and bemoaning the fact that I am bored.

I should not be bored.  I HAVE THINGS TO DO.  My resume isn’t up to snuff, the house isn’t quite as clean as I’d like (and there’s not much storage so that may always be an issue – I like a place for everything and everything in its place but there’s not enough places), the kids are driving me insane because they are also bored.

Perfection paralysis is also setting in.  My resume might never be good enough because I keep tweaking and tweaking it.  I confess I have not been blogging because I want to take some gorgeous photographs for you and it just hasn’t gotten done so I procrastinate.  I can’t update the blog because I don’t have pictures… you know the deal.  Excuses and bad ones.  So here’s a bad picture of the view from my workroom window.

I will upload the Rainier pictures and blog about them tomorrow. I mean it!

Greetings from Civilization!

Things I have discovered the awesomeness of in the last two weeks:

Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons

Cave of the Winds

Garden of the Gods, Colorado

And, best of all…

Trader Joe’s

I was told this was civilized country and that is the truth.  For it’s size, El Paso has nothing.  Here in the Evergreen State, we have everything.  I need to locate more places that deliver dinner but you know I will.   Pictures will also be forthcoming.  I promise.

For now, the job search begins in earnest and I am finally going to get my other blogs running too.  Peace.
